Bill C-6 An Act to Amend the Criminal Code
(Conversion Therapy)

AN IMPORTANT CALL TO ACTION
Minden Pride appeals to all members of our community and our allies to
Vote YES to Bill C-6 Constituency Referendum to criminalize “Conversion Therapy.
Minden Pride strongly supports Bill C-6 which would amend the Criminal Code to prohibit certain activities that relate to “Conversion Therapy” which is defined as practices, treatment or services designed to change an individual’s sexual orientation to heterosexual or gender identity to cisgender or to reduce non-heterosexual sexual attraction or sexual behavior. Jamie Schmale, the Member of Parliament for Haliburton – Kawathra Lakes – Brock, mailed an outline of the referendum and a ballot for constituents to vote on Bill C-6. A fast response is vital. We have included a PDF of the ballot. Please print it out, complete the ballot and either 1) scan it, or 2) take a photo of it, and email your ballot to Jamie.Schmale@parl.gc.ca. Do not mail your ballot.
- Each registered Voter in a household may vote once.
- Ballots will be reviewed against the current Elections Canada voter’s list.
